Cheque-Mate!

WARNING: Don't press Exit if you are playing in Browser. This will crash the game. If you do this, refresh the page and it should resume.
If you see a white line when the game starts, this is a loading bar it just doesn't move much. Please be patient.

Cheque-Mate is a Chess Roguelike where you play a single king facing off against waves and waves of enemy pieces all trying to capture you. As you capture them however, you're able to collect coins and buy additional pieces to help you to survive!
How long will you last?

Hints and tips:
- When you're done moving all your pieces, click the [End Turn] button or the [Spacebar] to advance to the enemy turn.
- You can use WASD to move the camera, and the scroll wheel to zoom in and out
- Only your King can pick up XP, so be sure to position it well
- If you have pieces that can't move, and the [End Turn] button is still disabled, click on the pieces at least once to let the game know.
- When you Level Up, choosing a Relic will progress the game, but you can buy as many upgrades or pieces as you like

This game is still in development I am planning to develop it further. If you have ideas, suggestions, or other feedback, I'm all ears and I'd love to hear them!
